About Felecia Smith, FNP-C

Feleica Smith, FNP-C is a prior United States Navy Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner who served for 12 plus years and a civil servant for San Antonio Military Medical Center for 9 years. She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner for 16 years and is now transitioning to specialty care in Rheumatology.

During her career she has had a variety of work experiences: civilian, military, large and small medical treatment facilities obtaining clinical expertise in cardiovascular care, ambulatory care and clinical management. She has had the opportunity to assess many diverse populations. With this variety of work locations and populations, she believes in patient centered care and establishing a long-term relationship with the patient and their families to empower to achieve optimal health. She is committed to a team approach with the physician to guide the plan of care.

On a personal note, Felecia is the mother of two teenage children, four dogs and a Golden Bearded Dragon with whom she is raising her husband. She loves family time, practicing Jiu Jitsu, going to the beach and playing golf with her husband.
